The message of the cross reveals God’s wisdom and power in a way that overturns human pride, ensuring that salvation rests in Christ alone and that all glory belongs to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 contrasts the wisdom of God with the standards by which the world evaluates wisdom and power.
